IMEG provided LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning for the historic Fieldhouse renovation. The two-phase renovation expanded the building through demolition of the existing pool deck, building three new 5,800-sf floors within the existing pool house, with new restrooms and concessions throughout the building and new seating in the bowl. The mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems were also demolished and renovated throughout the building. Our team provided complete building commissioning from OPR development, design reviews, submittal reviews, site observations to functional performance testing. We focused not just on the LEED minimum required systems but also all of the electrical and life safety systems. The obvious focus was on the performance requirements of the fieldhouse lighting and HVAC systems during performance operations to unoccupied season.

Main systems commissioned included:

  • Air Handling Units
  • Chilled Water System
  • Boiler Hot Water System
  • Variable Refrigerant Flow System
  • Generator
  • Fire Alarm System
  • Building Automation System
