QCBJ names IMEG ‘Best Engineering Firm,’ President and CEO ‘Best Business Leader’
IMEG has been voted Best Engineering Firm and President and CEO Paul VanDuyne named Best Business Leader in the Quad Cities Business Journal’s 2022 Best in the Region Awards. Based on voting by readers, the awards were announced in the July 11 edition of the regional business magazine.
“We have many highly accomplished business leaders in the Quad Cities area and so I am honored and humbled to have been recognized by the Business Journal’s readers,” said VanDuyne. “More importantly, it is extremely rewarding to have IMEG recognized by our community as Best Engineering Firm. Although we have grown into a national firm with offices coast to coast, our headquarters and our roots are in the Quad Cities. Here as well as at all our locations, we place the utmost value on the local clients we serve and the communities in which we work and live.”
VanDuyne joined the firm in 1976 (formerly KJWW) as the firm’s 16th employee. He became president in 2003 and began leading the company’s growth and diversification, first expanding into several Midwestern locations and then, after merging with a California firm in 2015, establishing IMEG Corp. Since then, IMEG has grown into one of the largest engineering firms across the country. Today the firm is 100 percent employee-owned and has more than 1,800 team members at 60 U.S. locations.
IMEG’s local values are put into action through the firm’s Community Involvement Committees (CIC) across the country. In the Quad Cities, the CIC funds local non-profit organizations and recruits staff to volunteer at events and initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity. Such involvement has always been encouraged by VanDuyne, who has served as chair and board member of multiple local not-for-profits, including the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, where he served as chair. Currently he is vice chair for Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Board of Trustees.
THANK YOU QUAD CITIES! We value our client partnerships and work hard to make the Quad Cities a great place to call home!
