IMEG provided structural engineering and design services for the renovation, seismic rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse of the historic Chapman Court, which won a 2022 Preservation Design Award in the Rehabilitation category from the California Preservation Foundation.

The 45,000-sf building in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles was originally constructed in 1928 and underwent a complete transformation into a mix of restored spaces, including four enlarged ground-floor retail spaces and nine second-floor creative office spaces.

The building’s revitalized floor and roof plans were carefully designed to preserve the historic context while maintaining the structural integrity of the building.
