Davenport opens new Fire Station #3
Davenport, IA, has opened its new Fire Station #3 in the northern part of the city. It replaces the aging Station #3, which is on a one-way street and in a floodplain.
The $10.7 million building can accomodate five firefighters, with room to grow to nine. It also houses three fire fighting vehicles, a 60-person community room, police workstations, exercise room, and kitchen.
IMEG provided structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, and technology engineering design services, geotechnical and topographic survey services, and a soil boring study for the project, as a sub-consultant to OPN Architects, Inc.
Tricon Construction was awarded the contract for the design/bid/build project.
