I-74 Mississippi River bridge one of 12 finalists for the 2022 America’s Transportation Awards
The new I-74 Mississippi River bridge in the Quad-Cities – IMEG’s largest civil engineering project – is one of 12 national finalists for the 2022 America’s Transportation Awards. The project previously won the Quality of Life/Community Development ($200 million-plus) category for the Midwest Region.
The finalists now compete for the Grand Prize, chosen by an independent panel of transportation industry experts; and the People’s Choice Award, chosen by online voting. The winner of each prize receives a $10,000 cash award for a charity or transportation-related scholarship of the winners’ choosing.
The finalists came from a pool of 80 nominees from 37 state DOTs via four regional contests.
Presented by American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, AAA, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the competition highlights DOT projects that improved the quality of life in their communities.
