IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, and security engineering design services, along with construction administration, for the new Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) Beverly Depot four-level, 500-car parking garage.

Plumbing and fire protection design for the elevator and stair lobbies entailed fire protection water service, sanitary waste and vent system, sand and oil interceptor, storm water system, and a domestic cold water system. The HVAC included split-system air conditioning units with condensers and stair and lobby ventilation and exhaust with a CO detection system. Electrical services included installation of a new emergency power generator; design of a building grounding system; installation of life-safety electrical equipment; new fire alarm system; paging, security, and telephone system backbone; and light-pollution-reducing and energy-efficient exterior LEDs.

As part of designing energy-efficient lighting systems for the new garage IMEG completed photometric studies of alternative lighting approaches (image to right).
