Three IMEG projects were named among ENRs Best of the Best Projects for 2022. The competition honors the top 20 projects from among the 180 Regional Best Projects that advanced to the national level.  

The San Francisco Day School (pictured) won Best of the Best Project in the K-12 Education category. IMEG provided structural engineering for the Bay Area private school that included an 18,500-sf, three-story building expansion of the current K-12 campus building. The building addition features a basement and a roof deck community use space. Adjacent to this new structure addition is an existing 3,000-sf building that was renovated as part of the project. Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Hubbard Center in Omaha won Best of the Best Project in the Healthcare category. IMEG provided medical equipment planning for the hospital’s 460,000-sf, seven-story tower addition. The tower houses a 48-bed NICU with all private rooms, 30-bed PICU, 30-bed CCU, observation unit, pharmacy, surgical suite, diagnostic imaging, expanded emergency department, and sterile processing. The Lone Rock Retreat in Bailey, CO, won Best of the Best Project in the Residential/Hospitality category. IMEG provided structural engineering design services for the seven-acre, non-profit retreat for teachers nestled into the hillside of a mountainous area. Oz Architects designed the building; Hyder Construction was the contractor and submitted the award nomination. Read more.
