Management consultant firm Morrissey Goodale has named IMEG as the recipient of the 2023 Most Prolific and Proficient Acquirer Award. The award was presented March 24 at a ceremony in Miami for the inaugural Excellence in Acquisitive Growth Awards, designed to recognize and honor the best buyers in the AE and Environmental Industry.

“Mergers and acquisitions have become a huge part of our business and our strategic growth,” said IMEG President and CEO Paul VanDuyne, who is integrally involved with each acquisition. “This award validates the expertise, dedication, and success of IMEG’s M&A Synergy Team in working with new firms in the discovery process, transitioning smoothly and, when everything falls in place, fully integrating the firms into IMEG. Hats off to Vice President Dan Huntington and the M&A Team for their hard work.”

IMEG began its M&A activity in 2015 and has added firms every year since. It completed eight acquisitions in 2022, and to date the company has 75 offices and 2,100 team members nationwide. All acquired firms maintain their leadership and share IMEG’s commitment to high-quality, client-centric design delivered by local engineers.

“These are good companies,” said VanDuyne. “We want them to operate like they did prior to joining us and slowly integrating into IMEG.”

Robin Greenleaf was CEO and founder of Architectural Engineers, Inc, of Boston, when AEI joined IMEG in 2021. Today she is IMEG’s Vice President of Architectural Relations and Strategic Partnerships. “The Boston team has grown and thrived as a result of joining IMEG,” she said. “We have really enjoyed the benefits and opportunities open to us as part of a large engineering company.”

As part of the awards program, Morrissey Goodale will make a $1,000 donation on IMEG’s behalf to the non-profit ACE Mentor Program.
