Utilities Replacement
IMEG provided civil and site investigation engineering design services to replace the existing 100-year-old storm drain and sanitary laterals from the Embassy Chancery Building to the public utility connection in the street in Luxembourg. The project involved installation of the new utilities, coordination of the connection points for existing inlets on the site and the connection point in the public street, and demolition of the existing utilities which were kept in service during construction. IMEG conducted a site visit and met with a local surveyor to obtain a topographic survey of the site, met with the City to discuss the connection points in the public street, and performed a site investigation to determine the locations and alignments of existing utilities on the site to the extent possible, allowing us to create an accurate base map to use in the preparation of the design drawings.
