IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, engineering design services, along with construction administration, for the adaptive reuse of the Old Gym (aka Ryan Gym) to create the Visual Culture, Arts, and Media (VCAM) Center, a flexible learning environment, with maker venues for students, faculty, and the public, and a 144-seat multimedia screening and performance room.

VCAM houses spaces for film and media editing, production and screening functions, class rooms, open plan gathering spaces, and a dedicated Computer Numerical Control (CNC) room. The project incorporated a high level of audio visual system flexibility as well as strict acoustical criteria for noise generation and transfer.

Anchored by the Haverford Center for the Arts & Humanities, the new center encourage trans-disciplinary creativity in digital media, film, exhibitions, 3D fabrication, and material culture.
