Erie Schools break ground on new elementary school
The Erie Community Unit School District 1 broke ground on a new elementary school on June 15 in Erie, IL.
The district will renovate a 19,100-sf existing annex building and add a 30,000-sf pre-K to Grade 4 elementary school. The current elementary school was built in 1954 and is in poor condition.
As a subconsultant to Bray Architects, IMEG is providing structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, and technology engineering design services for the project, which is expected to be finished before the start of the 2024 school year.
