Davenport, IA, breaks ground on Fairmount Community Center
The City of Davenport has broken ground on a new $2.8 million community center adjacent to a city library.
The 4,500-sf Fairmount Community Center will offer a half-court gymnasium to be used for beginner sports, drop-in activity, and community programming. The building’s exterior will include material that allows movies to be projected onto it.
IMEG is providing structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering design services for the project as a subconsultant to OPN Architects.
The facility is expected to open in 9-12 months.
