IMEG names new chief operations officer
Mike Zorich, PE, LEED AP, has been named Chief Operations Officer for IMEG. A managing principal of the firm and most recently Vice President of Healthcare, he has more than 21 years of experience, all with IMEG.
“Mike has been a rising star here at IMEG ever since he joined us right out of college,” said IMEG President and CEO Paul VanDuyne. “His deep knowledge of our firm, his technical and business acumen, and his understanding of the AEC industry make him well suited for guiding our day-to-day operations. His collaborative work style, strong leadership, and personality also will serve him well in this role. I am extremely excited for him and for the company.”
“I greatly appreciate the confidence that has been placed in me,” said Zorich. “IMEG has been an incredible place to build my career, and I look forward to this new role and the opportunity to work with my colleagues to chart the future operations of our growing national firm.”
Zorich has been instrumental in the creation of IMEG’s market sector development structure and is a strong contributor to the firm’s thought leadership strategy. He is a licensed mechanical engineer and was healthcare client executive for IMEG’s Quad Cities office prior to becoming director of healthcare in 2019 and vice president in 2022. He received his engineering degree from Iowa State University and his MBA from the University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie College of Business. In 2017 he was named one of ENR’s 20 Under 40 award recipients and is a member of ASHE, ASHRAE, and AMFP.
He takes over for IMEG’s previous COO, Jeff Pratt, who has retired from the firm.
“Our thanks go to Jeff for the many contributions he brought to IMEG during his 30-year career with us,” said VanDuyne. “We wish him all the best in his retirement.”
