Davenport Community School District has broken ground on a new gymnasium and wrestling room at Davenport West High School.

The $9 million project includes a 25,260-sf addition and renovation of nearly 20,000-sf of space. The school will have a new wrestling room, weight and fitness room, restrooms, gymnasium, bleacher seating area, competition-sized and practice basketball and volleyball courts, and updated entrance.

IMEG is providing structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services and technology services.

The renovation is expected to be complete in the spring of 2024.
