Des Moines University earns $1.2 million in rebates for new energy efficient campus
Des Moines University received nearly $1.2 million in MidAmerican Energy construction rebates for its new LEED Silver-certified campus.
In 2023, the private osteopathic medical school opened four buildings on a new 88-acre campus that house 10 graduate medical and health sciences degree programs and research activities.
The savings are part of the company’s Commercial New Construction program, which offers free energy modeling and design services and construction rebates based on verified electric savings from installed systems.
IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for the four new buildings on the DMU campus, all of which earned LEED Silver certification.
