Loudoun County: New zoning ordinance adopted Dec. 13
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors adopted a new zoning ordinance on Dec. 13. It replaces the ordinance that has been in effect for the last 20 years and applies to the entire county.
During the three years of its development, IMEG spent hours working with industry groups to review and comment on the draft documents as they became public. Some aspects of the previous ordinance carried forward into the new ordinance, but many changes and additions were made that could affect properties and parcels. View the new ordinance.
The Board of Supervisors’ motion to approve the ordinance included “grandfathering” language that applies to active land development applications currently in process. But it will be difficult to ascertain what, if any, impacts the new ordinance may impose on a specific property without a review.
If you have general questions about the new ordinance or are interested in a more in-depth analysis of the potential impacts to your property, IMEG would be happy to discuss it with you. Please contact Jason Alagna at jason.m.alagna@imegcorp.com or call him at (571) 982-6250.
