Rockford, IL, opens new $40 million waterfront public library
Rockford, Illinois, has opened a new $40 million library on the banks of the Rock River.
The 68,000-sf library features traditional library stacks, reading rooms and local history areas, along with rooftop terraces, an art gallery, a maker’s space lab with 3-D printers, laser cutters, and sewing machines, an audio-visual recording studio, and event and meeting space.
