The project: Skyglass Apartments is a standout residential and retail building located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. The 31-story, mixed-use building features approximately 338 residential units and three levels of underground parking.

Project amenities: Skyglass Apartments offers a range of amenities, including a rooftop spa, sky garden terrace, clubroom, yoga studio, fitness center, and dog park, catering to modern urban living. The tower’s airy, bright spaces infuse both style and design, while providing room for socializing and relaxation. The building’s convenient location in the South Lake Union connects residents with other main attractions in the area including Elliot Bay, the Cascade, and Olympic mountains.

MEP design: IMEG provided comprehensive MEP design assistance, encompassing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Our scope included detailed schematic and design development services, system coordination, and integration with sustainability requirements. Additionally, we facilitated fire protection design, peer review, and owner advocacy, ensuring all systems met regulatory standards and client expectations. Sustainable design: IMEG’s sustainability team conducted an in-depth charrette with the whole project team that guided sustainable strategies for the project including family-oriented amenities, a songbird habitat, and little library spaces.

Unique features: The building is located in the technological and research hub of Seattle, South Lake Union. The project is pursuing Built Smart certification, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable design and community well-being.

Project outcome: Skyview apartments provide residents with diverse expressions and experiences in the heart of the South
