The Science History Institute in Philadelphia is renovating its lobby, adding new exhibition space, and a gift shop. 

IMEG is designing the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the $3.3 million project, slated to open in the spring of 2025. 

The new exhibition space, the Hall of Minerals, will dive into the science and history of more than 20 minerals recently donated to the museum. A new gift shop will feature Institute-branded merchandise and items based on the collection. 

The renovation also includes new podcast and photography studios to support the institute’s work to grow and expand online access of its collections.
