Inspired by the elegance of Italian Neo-Renaissance architecture, this prestigious private social club offers a refined blend of athletic facilities, dining areas, meeting spaces, and exclusive overnight accommodations for its members. As part of a transformative renovation, the club underwent extensive upgrades, including a refreshed clubhouse, expanded fitness facilities, enhanced dining areas, and the addition of a stunning rooftop terrace overlooking downtown Detroit.

IMEG’s lighting design team (Illuminating Concepts) played a pivotal role in elevating this project, providing comprehensive interior and exterior lighting design services, as well as procurement expertise. The exterior lighting design was crafted with precision to highlight the club’s architectural splendor, accentuating the balustrades, pilasters, and intricate stone carvings. Special attention was given to the upper cornice accent lighting, creating a revitalized glow that honored the building’s 100+ year old legacy while introducing a modern, vibrant illumination. Inside, the lighting design seamlessly complements the elegant spaces, enhancing the sophisticated ambiance of the club and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout. The lighting not only celebrates the club’s architectural heritage but also brings a new vitality to its timeless elegance.
