The project: IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for a new headquarters for Dome Technology.

The goal: The objective of this project was to create an efficient and structurally sound facility that optimizes space while maintaining a sleek, low-profile design. The use of a thin-shell structure enhances both aesthetics and performance, ensuring durability and sustainability.

The design: The building features a thin-shell structure designed as a low-profile ellipse, measuring 184 feet by 144 feet with a height of 30 feet. The total footprint of the building is 15,000 square feet, with an additional 2,500-sf mezzanine to maximize functional space. The design integrates innovative engineering techniques to support the thin-shell structure while maximizing open, flexible interior spaces.

The outcome: The completed structure provides a durable, efficient, and visually striking facility. The combination of a thin-shell design and mezzanine space ensures both functionality and sustainability, making it a versatile solution for its intended use.
