The University of Minnesota’s new Health Sciences Education Center in Minneapolis is among ENR Midwest’s Top 2018 Starts. IMEG provided MEP design for the $109 million center, which is currently in construction and expected to be complete by 2020.

According to the university, the 202,000-sf center will enhance teamwork among health professionals, preparing students to meet the changing needs of communities across Minnesota and around the world. The project is led by Perkins + Will and SLAM. General contractor is JE Dunn.

The Top Starts ranking lists the 100 largest projects to break ground in the Midwest in 2018 in terms of construction cost. The projects reflect a total investment of $30.9 billion. The data was compiled by Dodge Data and Analytics and other ENR sources from our 11-state region. Read more.
