The project: Credit Suisse expanded its corporate campus in Morrisville, NC with a brand-new 205,000-sf, four-story office building equipped to support emerging work styles and anchored in sustainability. This addition includes a conference center, smart working infrastructure, security technology, and outdoor amenities. A signature feature is a long, mass-timber pedestrian bridge connecting this new structure to its existing building, all achieving LEED Gold certification. The building sits alongside greenspaces and trails, reinforcing an employee-centric campus environment

The goal: Credit Suisse sought to modernize their campus experience—prioritizing wellness, collaboration, and sustainability. The objective was to create a building that would meet evolving tenant and employee expectations through advanced amenities, seamless connectivity, and green design, all while supporting future adaptability.

The design:

  • Structure & Cladding: A structural steel frame composed of wide-flange columns with composite steel floor beams and concrete slabs on metal decking. Lateral forces are managed via a combination of steel braced frames and moment frames
  • Bridge & Timber Elements: The pedestrian bridge linking buildings was crafted using mass timber construction, merging structural innovation with aesthetic warmth
  • Amenities & Features: Indoor facilities include a conference center, fitness, security systems, and “smart working” capabilities. Outdoor offerings consist of walking trails, café plazas, and collaborative outdoor spaces
  • Sustainability: The building achieved LEED Gold, aligned with energy-saving lighting, mechanical systems, solar power integration, and employee wellness features

The outcome: Delivered as a flexible, sustainable workplace solution, the new building now supports over 1,700 associates, offering both functionality and wellness in a sleek campus setting. It connects seamlessly to existing facilities, reinforces Credit Suisse’s commitment to quality workplace design, and enhances employee experience in a verdant RTP setting
