IMEG’s Suraj S. Soudagar has published “Adding Layers to Operating Room Integration” in the September issue of Outpatient Surgery magazine.  

In the article, Soudagar makes the case that that integrating operating room (OR) technology — from simple device connectivity to consolidated touch-screen control, EMR access, and imaging — can significantly improve efficiency, safety, and profitability in surgical suites. 

By capturing metrics (e.g., surgical time, anesthesia exposure) and leveraging AI/automation, Soudagar says, integrated ORs can reduce procedure times, minimize costs, improve patient outcomes, and increase throughput.
