IMEG’s Blair Hawn, PE, will present “Integrating Ice Tanks for Heating with a Ground Source Heat Pump System” at the ASHRAE Winter Conference in Las Vegas.  

His session is part of the technical program, “Decarbonizing Buildings in Cold Climates without Electric Resistance Heating — Use Ice Instead!” beginning at 8 a.m. PST on February 2.  

Hawn will highlight IMEG’s work on the State of Michigan’s new three-agency laboratory in Lansing, where ice tanks will be used to supplement a ground source heat pump system, reducing bore field costs while supporting efficient, low-carbon heating.
