Brandon Fortier, PE, LEED AP, IMEG’s director of science & technology, will speak at the Tradeline Research Facilities 2026 Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Fortier will present “Next-generation Lab Strategies for Uncertain Times” with James Blount, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, life science market sector leader for Ellenzweig Architects, and Chad House, director of life science with Siemens Smart Infrastructure.

The session will explore how research organizations can design laboratories that remain adaptable amid funding volatility, shifting priorities, and unknown end-users. They will share measured performance data comparing traditional lab configurations with next-generation approaches, examining strategies—from ventilation to modular infrastructure—that support flexibility, operational performance, and long-term facility value.

The session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. MST.
