The project: IMEG provided commissioning services for the new School of Dentistry building at Creighton University, a state-of-the-art facility designed to accommodate advanced teaching, learning, clinical, and research spaces.

The goal: Ensure the proper functioning of all building systems and the safety and comfort of building occupants while addressing unique challenges presented by the complex, multi-story design and advanced mechanical systems.

Project amenities: The 200,000-sf facility includes a variety of advanced and technology-enhanced spaces, including classrooms, clinical areas, patient care spaces, and research labs. The building also features specialized systems such as a VAV reheat mechanical system, BAS-controlled energy systems, lab air monitoring, fume hood ventilation, and indoor parking gas detection systems.

Design approach: IMEG provided comprehensive commissioning services to verify the performance of complex building systems and ensure that they met the design intent. IMEG worked closely with the designers, contractors, and owner’s representative to address any issues that arose, including ensuring that all energy systems and safety measures were functioning optimally.

Project outcome: The commissioning services provided by IMEG ensured the efficient and safe operation of the building’s advanced systems. The building now provides Creighton University with a modern, high-functioning space for its School of Dentistry, supporting both educational and clinical activities.
