The project: IMEG provided engineering services for the rebrand and renovation of the existing Palace Resort into a Hard Rock hotel featuring 601 guest rooms, five restaurants, five bars and lounges, a spa with outdoor massage areas, poolscape amenities, and a 16,400-sf convention center supporting meetings and large events. The project transformed the resort into a Hard Rock–branded hospitality destination with upgraded amenities, entertainment venues, and event facilities.

The goal: Convert and remodel existing resort spaces to align with Hard Rock brand standards while enhancing guest amenities, dining venues, entertainment areas, and convention facilities. The renovation required modernizing key hospitality spaces while maintaining reliable building operations for a large, active resort environment.

Design approach: IMEG worked closely with the owner, design team, and contractors to evaluate the existing building infrastructure and support the conversion of the resort to Hard Rock brand standards. Through site visits and coordination meetings, IMEG reviewed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology, and fire protection systems to identify upgrades and modifications required to support renovated hospitality, dining, entertainment, and convention spaces.

The team coordinated system improvements to accommodate high-occupancy public areas, specialty restaurant kitchens, spa and wellness facilities, and upgraded guest room environments while maintaining efficient and reliable building operations throughout the resort.

Key spaces: Areas remodeled for the rebrand included:

  • Building Exterior/Guest Access Approach
  • Entry Courtyard
