Waubonsee Community College Technical Education Center earns SEAoP 2025 Outstanding Project Award
Waubonsee Community College Technical Education Center has earned the Structural Engineers Association of Pennsylvania (SEAoP) 2025 Outstanding Project Award in the $40 million to $100 million category.
The $59 million, 100,000-sf, building in Sugar Grove, IL — the college’s first new building in more than 10 years — houses programs in auto body repair, automotive technology, and welding technology. IMEG provided structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering design services and commissioning services for the project, which opened in September 2025.
The project also earned a Merit Award in the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois (SEAOI) Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards and an Illinois Real Estate Journal Best Project in the Education/Daycare category.
