IMEG Vice President of Housing Scott Campagna, PE, LEED AP, QCxP,  recently shared his insights on the state of the Charlotte housing market in an interview with Capital Analytics Associates.  

A key takeaway was how uncertainty in costs, capital, and policy is influencing housing decisions nationally and in the Charlotte region. 

“Businesses can manage bad news as long as they know what the bad news is. The problem right now is they don’t know what’s coming,” Campagna told CAA. 

Campagna discussed other industry challenges both nationally and in North Carolina—including affordability, rising construction costs, financing hurdles, and municipal processes that can challenge development. 

He emphasized IMEG’s strength as a national firm with local connections—a strategy he said brings “value beyond engineering by connecting the right partners to make projects happen.”
