IMEG’s San Francisco structural team (formerly Nishkian Menninger) provided structural services for the Hilton Hotel Tower I and Hilton Tower II building projects. Tower I is a 46-story skyscraper hotel located in San Francisco’s Union Square. This building is 493 feet (150 m) high, and also houses conference rooms, restaurants, retail, fitness center and parking garage.

Tower II is a new 22-story, steel frame guest room wing and remodel of existing hotel areas. In addition to the hotel tower, this complex houses a column-free ballroom of 25,000-sf. The project was complicated by having spans over the ballroom of 120 feet in length, which in some cases were also required to support the 22-story guest room wing on top.

The Hilton Hotel Tower complex is currently the largest hotel in San Francisco offering 1,915 hotel rooms total.
