Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center’s new 151,000-sf Ocean View bed tower has received an award of merit in ENR California’s 2020 Best Projects competition. IMEG provided medical equipment planning and services for the project – the team’s first California project – that also included a 32,000-sf renovation of related space. 

The seven-story tower includes 138 private patient rooms – including 10 state-of-the-art intensive care suites – and six high-tech operating rooms. IMEG’s integration of smart-room technology helped the owner achieve the high reliability organization (HRO) goal of the project.
