IMEG-designed museum breaks ground
Officials broke ground on the new National Mounted Warrior Museum at Fort Hood on Nov. 19, beginning Phase I of the project that is expected to open in late 2022. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology design for the 28,700-sf facility.
The museum will include 13,000-sf of interactive exhibit galleries and 7,000-sf of temporary exhibit space preserving and honoring the history of mounted soldiers. The museum will feature actual-size replicas of military equipment in battlefield settings.
