This new three-story, 50,000-sf building for the College of Engineering will include wet and dry laboratories, classrooms, auditoriums, faculty offices, and a lobby. The new Academic & Research Building is designed to connect to the existing third floor of the Thomas Beam Engineering Building following a scheduled renovation. Upon completion, this new integrated facility will support and enrich student education while allowing for future growth.

IMEG’s engineering services for this highly specialized facility includes HVAC systems, hydronic piping, central plant equipment, restroom exhaust, associated ductwork, air distribution devices, and temperature control systems. This project also features design for domestic hot and cold water systems, waste and vent piping, roof drainage, natural gas piping system, and other incidental plumbing equipment, materials, and piping appurtenances. Additionally, IMEG is designing the lighting branch circuiting and power services.
