IMEG is providing audiovisual and acoustics design for the new U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria. The $319 million compound will have 11 buildings, including a 10-floor, 226,740-sf office building.

IMEG’s AV and acoustics scope will include several conference rooms, a large multipurpose room, waiting areas, digital signage, and a queuing/paging system for a large consular processing area. The firm is part of the design/build project team led by the Pernix Group, Inc., with Ennead Architects of New York as the design architect and EYP Architecture and Engineering as lead for architecture and MEP.

The 12.2-acre site is part of Eko Atlantic, a development led by South Energyx Nigeria Limited in collaboration with Lagos State. The location will provide the future diplomatic campus and its neighbors with access to sustainable, modern infrastructure, including an 8.5 km seawall designed to protect the city from rising sea levels and coastal erosion.

The new Consulate General will provide a modern, resilient platform for diplomacy in Nigeria and is expected to be completed in 2027.
