Building Renovation
IMEG renovated an existing pharmaceutical distribution center which included designing a new facility layout. A new air-handler was provided for the new Clean Rooms to allow continued use of the existing Clean Rooms during construction. The HVAC system for the Clean Rooms was designed for ISO 8 with 25 air changes per hour (ACH) in the Repackaging and Sampling Rooms and 12 ACH in the vestibules. All Repackaging Rooms have exhaust to control powder dispersal; however, the Liquid Room, Potent Powder Room, and Sampling Room has 100% exhaust.
The vestibule was pressurized +0.05 inches water gage above the adjacent Warehouse and Repackaging Room to prevent flow from the Repackaging Room to the Warehouse. A new 1 MW Diesel Generator was provided to accommodate the additional HVAC loads. A new main switchboard, transfer switch, motor control center (MCC) and (2) distribution panels (480/277V) were set in the Electrical Room. The MCC serves all of the new HVAC loads and the distribution panels shall serve the (3) lighting and receptacle panels (208/120V).
