Ed Gharibans, PE, SE, is IMEG’s Vice President of Structural Market Development (California) and an executive principal. He has been practicing structural engineering for more than 30 years.
As Vice President of Structural Market Development, Ed focuses on expanding IMEG’s structural presence and market position throughout California. Leveraging his deep industry experience, established relationships, and knowledge of the California market, he works with local and firmwide leaders to identify growth opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and expand IMEG’s structural capabilities across the state. He also supports broader strategic growth initiatives across the firm’s structural practice.
Ed earned his master’s degree in structural engineering from Loyola Marymount University and is a Professional Engineer registered in California, Nevada, and Oregon. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California and the American Concrete Institute. He also serves on the code advisory committee of the California Building Standards Commission.
His design experience includes new schools, libraries, laboratories, and student housing complexes, as well as seismic evaluation projects, infrastructure upgrades, and the renovation and remodeling of existing buildings.
