Gerry has more than 20 years of experience in structural engineering and design of bulk material storage and handling structures, including silos, stacking tubes, structural steel, masonry, and wood structures. He has authored papers on technical and operational procedures regarding silo design, behavior, construction, and inspection, and often presents at industry conferences, including IEEE, GEAPS, and Cemtech.

Gerry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He is a licensed structural engineer and professional engineer with registrations in multiple states and provinces. He is a member and past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Central Ohio Chapter, and a 313 Committee Member of the American Concrete Institute.  He also is a technical consultant for World Bank.
