Bettendorf breaks ground on The Landing, a new aquatic facility and ice rink
The city of Bettendorf has opened the first phase of The Landing, its $18 million aquatic facility and ice rink.
Phase 1 included an outdoor ice rink.
Phase 2, which is expected to open in 2025, includes a 12,500-sf pool and four support buildings. Pool features include a zero-depth entry, spray feature, ninja-style rope course, lap lanes, two diving boards, and two climbing walls.
The project is a partnership with the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley, which will run the city-owned complex.
IMEG is providing civil (design and survey), structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services for the project.
