The city of Bettendorf has adjusted the timeline for construction of The Landing, its $18 million aquatic facility and ice rink. The facility is now expected to be fully complete in May 2025, a year later than anticipated, which will allow construction to continue through the remainder of 2024. The ice rink, which was to be completed in the final phase, will now be completed by November of this year.

The Landing will include a 12,500-sf pool and four support buildings. Pool features include a zero-depth entry, spray feature, ninja-style rope course, lap lanes, two diving boards, two climbing walls, a three-story slide tower, 430-foot-long lazy river, and a 3,700-sf splash pad.  The outdoor ice rink will be able to convert into a turf field in the off-season.

The project is a partnership with the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley, which will run the city-owned complex.

IMEG is providing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design services for the project.
