Bettendorf opens outdoor ice rink at The Landing, aquatic facility to follow in 2025
The city of Bettendorf has opened the first phase of The Landing, its $18 million aquatic facility and ice rink. The ice rink opened in December 2024, and the rest of the facility is expected to be fully complete in May 2025, a year later than anticipated.
The outdoor ice rink will be able to convert into a turf field in the off-season. The Landing also will include a 12,500-sf pool and four support buildings. Pool features include a zero-depth entry, spray feature, ninja-style rope course, lap lanes, two diving boards, two climbing walls, a three-story slide tower, 430-foot-long lazy river, and a 3,700-sf splash pad.
The project is a partnership with the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley, which will run the city-owned complex.
IMEG is providing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design services for the project.
