Carla Tillery honored with Transportation Achievement Award
IMEG’s Carla Tillery was recently honored with the Transportation Achievement Award by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Connecticut Section. This award highlights Carla’s exceptional contributions to ITE and the industry’s commitment to advancing safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation solutions.
As the keynote speaker for the ITE CT Annual Meeting, Carla spoke on the vital contributions of transportation engineers, priorities of federal funding for transportation projects, and highlights from her 30-year career as a professional in transportation planning and traffic analysis.
Carla is former president and part owner of FHI Studio, which merged with IMEG in 2024. She is now a principal and project executive for urban planning at FHI Studio, now IMEG. She has been a prominent leadership figure in the industry for many years, with involvement in organizations such as the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials, Women’s Transportation Seminar, Institute of Transportation Engineering, and University of Hartford Civil Engineering Academic Advisory Board.
She holds a Master of Science Degree in civil engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
