Des Moines University has opened its new $260 million, 88-acre campus.  

The new site of the private osteopathic medical school has four all-electric buildings, housing 10 graduate medical and health sciences degree programs and research activities. At 350,000-sf, it is three times as large as the previous campus. The technology-rich facilities were designed to be flexible for accommodate active learning, small group work, and immersive simulation, highlighting the future of healthcare education.  

IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for the project, which sought LEED Silver and WELL Gold certification.  

The campus won a 2024 ENR Best Regional Projects Award of Merit in the Higher Education/Research category.
