The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, broke ground on Phase 4 of its expansion project on March 6, 2023.

The $62 million project will extend the concourse and renovate Gate 4 to Gate 9 to accommodate larger planes that carry more passengers. New amenities will include a sensory room, more space for parents with babies, and an indoor area for service animals and traveling pets. A new patio will feature alcohol service, so passengers through security can sit outside.

Expansion projects began in 2012. Phase 4 is expected to be completed in 2025.

IMEG is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering services for the renovation of Concourse C and expansion during this phase.
