Four IMEG-designed projects win NAIOP Northern Virginia awards
Four IMEG projects were honored by the NAIOP of Northern Virginia in their respective categories. The awards recognize the contributions of the commercial, industrial, and mixed-use real estate community to Northern Virginia’s built environment. The winning projects included:
66 Logistics Center in Prince William County won the Sale Commercial Award of Excellence in the Transactions category. The 121,672-sf warehouse is 32 feet tall and has 30 loading docks, as well as nearly two acres of outdoor storage. IMEG provided civil engineering design for the project, which was submitted by Buchanan Partners.
St. Thomas More Cathedral in Arlington County won the Capital Improvement Private Award of Excellence in the Buildings category. Renovations to the cathedral included exterior updates to the transept and entryway as well as interior transformations in the sanctuary. The project was submitted by Forrester Construction and IMEG provided civil engineering design. Read more.
3901 Fairfax (pictured) in Ballston, VA, received the Office Award of Merit in the Buildings category. IMEG provided structural design for the project, which is a mixed-use office building comprised of nine stories plus a penthouse and three levels of below-grade parking. The design also featured ground-level retail, a rooftop conference space and terrace, and private terraces. Skanska USA Commercial Development submitted the project. Read more.
Ashburn Crossing Phase III in Loudoun County received the Industrial/Flex/Storage Award of Merit in the Buildings category. IMEG provided civil design for the project, which is the final phase of the 80-acre mixed-use business community in Ashburn, VA. When completed in 2026, the site will include 11 buildings totaling nearly 550,000-sf of commercial space and a retail pad site designated for a convenience store.
