IMEG has acquired The JW Group, a technology-driven aviation consulting and design firm known for helping airports modernize infrastructure, improve operations, and solve complex challenges.

The acquisition brings together IMEG’s national multidisciplinary engineering expertise with The JW Group’s specialized experience in aviation technology, systems, and facilities design—creating a stronger platform to serve airport owners, operators, and industry partners across the U.S.

Founded in 2009, The JW Group has built a strong reputation for delivering forward-thinking solutions for the aviation industry. Its expertise spans technology planning, systems implementation, digital enablement, terminal and facilities design, and strategic consulting with a focus on enhancing the passenger experience, enabling more efficient and safe operations, and creating new opportunities to grow non-aeronautical revenues. The firm has completed projects at more than 70 airports across 25 countries and leverages strong industry relationships with airport operators, stakeholders, and technology providers to deliver integrated, commercially minded results.

“The addition of The JW Group reflects our shared commitment to innovation in complex aviation environments,” said Paul VanDuyne, IMEG President and CEO. “By bringing The JW Group into IMEG, we are uniting complementary strengths to better serve the evolving needs of the aviation industry. Together, we are expanding our technical depth and enhancing our ability to support airport clients with comprehensive, integrated solutions backed by IMEG’s broader multidisciplinary expertise.”

For The JW Group clients, the transition brings additional resources to go along with the industry knowledge of the firm. The JW Group team will continue serving clients nationwide as The JW Group, now IMEG, while integrating into IMEG’s operations.

“This next chapter allows us to deliver even greater value to our clients—enhancing the systems that keep airports running safely and efficiently while advancing future-ready infrastructure,” said Jim Willis, President of The JW Group. “Just as important, the team our clients know and trust remains in place, now supported by IMEG’s expanded capabilities, technical resources, and national reach. Together, we are better positioned to serve airports of all sizes across the industry.”

Willis will serve as the team’s client executive at IMEG, providing leadership and continuity for clients.
