University Place 3.0, part of a state-of-the-art mixed-use building, is a finalist for the Green Building United 2025 Groundbreaker Award, New Construction Category.

The building is Philadelphia’s first WELL Platinum-certified project and the first lab space in the country to earn both LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum certifications.

The award recognizes transformative ground-up projects that raise the bar for sustainability in design and performance and highlight how sustainable construction can drive innovation, resilience, and community impact.

The 250,000-sf building houses offices and laboratory space. Tenants include the Philadelphia Police Department forensic labs.

IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services for the building project, and structural engineering analysis for first-floor fit-outs of a bank and restaurant.
