IMEG is providing structural engineering for new San Francisco housing development
IMEG is serving as structural engineer for 1101-1111 Sutter, a new mixed-use residential development underway in San Francisco’s Lower Nob Hill neighborhood. The project broke ground in a ceremony Dec. 11, 2025. It will create 303 units, including 101 affordable units, a 4,000-square-foot childcare center, and ground-floor retail and amenity spaces.
The development includes rehabilitation of a historic 1920 concrete auto-repair building at 1101 Sutter, which will remain in use as a public parking garage, alongside construction of a new 22-story, 235-foot residential tower where a dilapidated two-story building stood at 1111 Sutter.
Construction is expected to be finished in about two years.
