IMEG projects win Chicago preservation awards
Two IMEG projects were named in the Commission on Chicago Landmarks’ 2022 Preservation Excellence Awards: 932 W. Randolph St. and the Lincoln Park Zoo Lion House. The awards honor individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and public bodies that have significantly contributed to Chicago’s architectural and cultural history.
932 W. Randolph St. in the Fulton-Randolph Market District. IMEG provided structural design for the redevelopment of the former bank and parking lot. The project included the renovation of the existing three-story building and a new three-story addition. L3 Capital received the award.
Lincoln Park Zoo Lion House (pictured). IMEG provided commissioning services for the renovation, restoration, and expansion of the lion house, which was originally constructed in 1912. The project is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Lincoln Park Zoo received the award.
