IMEG ranked among Top 50 Green Design Firms
IMEG Corp. has been ranked No. 46 among Engineering News-Record’s 2021 Top Green Design Firms.
The annual list is based on revenue for construction or design services generated from projects that have been registered with or certified by a third-party organization that sets standards for measuring a building’s or facility’s environmental impact, energy efficiency, or carbon footprint. Such groups include the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Green Building Initiative.
IMEG moved up from No. 57 in last year’s rankings.
“Our upward mobility among top green firms is a testament to IMEG’s commitment to sustainability and the expertise and hard work of our technical staff,” said IMEG President and CEO Paul VanDuyne. Director of Sustainability Adam McMillen added that nearly all of IMEG’s building projects incorporate sustainable design elements, not just those that seek third-party certification.
The firm is also expanding its strategies to achieve even greater results.
“We’ve developed additional services and tools to help clients reach their goals,” said McMillen. “We also have signed on to several industry sustainability initiatives – including SE2050, in which we are joining other firms in the commitment to reduce embodied carbon in building materials such as steel, wood, and concrete.”
