IMEG Receives WEF Project Excellence Award for Work on Seattle’s West Point Treatment Plant

The Water Environment Federation (WEF) awarded IMEG and other project team members with a 2025 Project Excellence Award for work on the Power Quality Improvements at King County, Washington’s West Point Treatment Plant in Seattle.
The award highlights the many-phased effort to enhance the plant’s reliability, including relocating and centralizing electrical equipment in a new facility to support the entire treatment plant.
IMEG’s role centered on providing energy code consulting, coordinating cross-discipline energy code items, specifying envelope thermal performance, and supporting the engineer-of-record with code official communications.
This recognition underscores IMEG’s commitment to delivering innovative, energy-efficient solutions that help strengthen critical water and wastewater infrastructure.
The project has previously earned a National Recognition Award from ACEC 2025 Engineering Excellence Awards, the ACEC Washington’s National Gold Award for Energy, and Best in State Silver Award for Original or Innovative Application of New and Existing Techniques.
